New year and 365 new pages to fill in your life. You have a choice, a choice what to make out of every day this year. Make it a good one.

No matter what you promised that night not long ago, it all comes down to the small choices we do. Every little choice we do determines the future. Many choices are made without you even knowing it. Things we do every day become habits, and habits are hard to change. Especially the bad.

Owes, promises and goals are great. And they become even greater if you write them down and see them every day. But to keep yourself on track you need discipline and hard work. Nothing in life comes easy.

So, what are you going to do with the new year and all the possibilities it brings?

For me it is easy. I will just continue on my path and try to do it better every day. I have my passive income streams that slowly but surely builds my future wealth. I am always looking for new ones, but are much more restrictive than before, lessons learned :-)

I know my weaknesses and strive to improve. Most important for me is sleep, health and relations that still needs to get better. But now I am a much stronger and happier person than I used to be, which helps a lot.

Remember that knowledge is not power. Execution is.

The keys as I see them is still diversification and balance. You need to diversify your investments so that you still stand tall even if one or two fails. This is important in your personal life as well. If I focus on the above three areas and one fails, perhaps because I get sick, the other two will still make me feel proud and make me strong enough to continue.

Balance is equally good to keep in mind since everything always goes either backwards or forward. What you eat you must consume, what you spend you must earn etc.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year I wish to you all. Take the time to enjoy life and spend time together.

Christmas in Sweden is a christian tradition that is commonly celebrated even though most here are not religious. Normally Christmas is related to a lot of snow, building snowmen and throwing snowballs. But this year Christmas was green as if it was still autumn.

But then finally yesterday snow finally started to fall down as it should :-)

When I start to think about what has happened in 2015 it is like a roller coaster. Many bad and frightening things has happened in the world with tyrannies, terrorism, crisis, fugitives etc. But we are still here and time passes on. We can only try to help as much as we can.

Personally it has not been a great year. Too little exercise, sleep and good reading. Too much unhealthy eating, gaming and time wasting unfortunately. But physiologically I feel a lot stronger, and relations have been improved. Economically I have improved my incomes and assets greatly.

Plan for next year is to keep up the good work and improve health.

Be proud of who you are

Be proud, and walk with lions!

This is my feeling now, and what you should aim for. Let the wind wash your face, and the sun make you golden.

Be proud of yourself

Be proud of yourself. You are special and no one can appreciate you more than yourself. It always comes down to what you feel deep inside. Make sure you find the good reasons to believe in yourself. This can actually be more important than you think. If you feel proud your self-esteem gets high and your life gets better in every way.

It is easy to be proud of something your wife, friends or kids do, but it is so much harder to be proud of who you are and what you do.

Here is my easy pride, and what makes me the most proud. My 13-year old daughter singing Hello, by Adele (sorry for the bad recording):

There are actually two sides that needs to be worked on to feel proud. The first area is the thought pattern that often gets in our way with negative thoughts. The other is how we act and behave. But as always, what´s most important is that you do take action…

How to work on your thoughts:

Keyword here is gratitude and acceptance. Be grateful for what you have and accept who you are. You cannot go around comparing yourself with everyone else who seem better than you. First of all, you have no idea of how they feel. Second, everyone has their good sides and their bad sides. Better to accept who you are and what you have. If you think about it for a while, you will start to see that you have a lot to be thankful for. And you will also see that you too have good sides, abilities and skills that you normally just take for granted.

The best practice to learn gratitude is to write 3 things that you are grateful for every day. If you do that for 90 days without repeating anything, you will see a transformation. Maybe I should do that here on my site? Just to prove my case…

Then we have the next side that matters just as much. To become proud of who you are, the phase where you build your confidence, self-esteem and pride.

To make yourself a lion, you have to act like a lion. Remind yourself of the good things you have done in the past and make them closer and closer to today. Good things can be small or big, as learning something new or helping someone out. It can also be accomplishments like finishing a book, a course or winning a competition. Then with some practice you can think back of today and tap yourself on the shoulder for the good things you did. Soon you will start to chase good things to do, just to be able to tap yourself :-)

It is also good to affirm yourself with good affirmations. Either you do it yourself in front of the mirror, or you listen to a recording. You can use the one i had in a earlier post called Positive affirmations help:  http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/3733155#XqWABKOXiyBqq2vx.03

Another good way to start is to change your appearance for the better.

  • First of all, sleep well, eat healthy and exercise regularly. Can not told to many times.
  • Then plan your day and your outfit for tomorrow, so that come prepared and look good.
  • Make sure you take time to start your day properly with enough time to eat, get fresh and get your mood up.
  • Then it´s time to rise yourself up. Walk like a lion, stretch. Go straight up and walk tall with a happy face. If others see you walk tall, smiling with a friendly face they will see you as fortunate and treat you as such.

And do remember that pride is also connected to how you treat others. If you treat others the best way you can, it will make you proud. Everything you do and deserves comes back to you. Be of service, be helpful.

How to invest your precious earnings is a delicate matter and requires a lot of thought. It depends on so many factors, and that makes it complicated. But it is crucially important, so please do not ignore it just because you get overwhelmed. Let us clear it out together.

In this post I will try to simplify it for you. I will give you general advice and I will tell you how I have solved the financial puzzle for me and my family.

How to invest your precious earnings

First advice: Go and see a financial advisor, it is worth every penny. This is their line of expertise, not ours.

But before you go to seek advice, you need to find your purpose and your goals. As with everything in life it is important to now why and to map out the overall picture. The chance of getting the right advice’s on how to invest in your financial situation will increase significantly if you come prepared.

 

The second advice: Divide your future economic goals into different plans. Or let’s use the very popular term “buckets”.

How to invest your precious earnings

Let’s say you have a bucket list that you want to complete during the rest of your life. Let’s split this list into different “buckets” depending on time frames.

 

First bucket: Things you want to do when the golden years of retirement comes.

To get a nice retirement we need to play safe. And we do have plenty of time to make it.

 

Second bucket: Things you want to have or experience until retirement.

To have a good life until then, we need to maximize the return without risking too much.

 

Third bucket: Things you plan and dream about buying or doing now.

To get wild and do what we really want, we need to get crazy…

Do you start to see the picture now? If you divide it like this, your financial advisor will know exactly how to lay out the investment plans for you.

 

Third advice: Make sure you have plenty of monthly savings. Preferably with different purposes (next car, next vacation, pension etc.)

 

As an example so that you understand it completely, I will show you my thoughts and how I have laid it out:

  • My retirement plan consists of real estates, employment pension and monthly savings.

  • My plan to afford new cars, renovations and great vacations etc. consists of monthly savings invested in mutual funds and stocks.

  • My dreams and desires are funded by online programs like digital currency, traffic exchanges and high risk investments.

 

Who are you? The one who always spends and never saves. Or the one who always saves and never spends?

 

In my family I am the spender, and my wife the saver. We solved it by me paying all the bills plus most of the expenses, and my wife making all the savings. We live in a bought apartment and have bought one more that we rent out. We have saved all the child benefits for the sake of their future. And we have nice buffers if need be.

A couple of years ago I started spending money online and I am now starting to reap the rewards. I use these funds to buy things that I normally would not even consider. Last Christmas I bought a really nice gaming computer, piece by piece, for my son. We then built it together. This summer I bought the new MacBook for my daughter, and now I am about to buy us a robot vacuum cleaner. The “dreamplan” for summer is to make this years  vacation trips luxurious :-)

As you may notice, the key is as always to diversify. You need long-term investments as well as short-term. You need low risk as well as high risk. And you need to invest in different fields, not to put everything in the same nest.

Today is the day

Today is the day to take action. Today is the day that shapes your destiny. Today is the day that counts, because you newer know what happens tomorrow.

My deepest condolences and sympathies to foremost the French people, the Turkish people and the families and loved ones of the victims. But we can not dwell on the past and circumstances that is out of our control. Bad things will always happen to us and others, but we can only learn from them and go by. All your prevous mistakes and all the misfortunes that happens must become lessons and memories to learn and grow from. The same goes for worries of what could happen in the future. Make plans to deminish the risks you see but do not dwell on them.

We can only fokus on what is here and now. Make dreams and plans for the future but take action to reach them today. It can be small things, it can be ridicoulus things. The only thing that matters is that you do it. Today is the day to take action, not tomorrow…

If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got. Do something different!

Take me for example:

My site, this site, My dreamtutorial will become the portal and home for anyone and everyone having an online adventure. To accomplish this I make small improvements every day. It can be a post, a link to something inspirational, a new page, a change in the header, a new welcome mail to my subscribers. As long as I do something every day it grows, and I grow with it.

My businesses: By reaching out to new people, by doing the tasks I am supposed to, by repurchasing and by implementing new ideas it grows little by little. As of now my passive income grows by aproximately one dollar every day. May not be much, but a dollars growth increasing every day will make next summer extremely pleasant. And my investments grows even more :-)

Start by putting your energy on areas that works, preferably where your passion lies. On things where results are easy to see. Then by celebrating and feeling good about your small successes you get power to take on more things. Before you realize it you are starting to see improvements in all areas of life. Just make sure you take action on stuff thats needs to be taken care of, not only the easy ones. For me working online has been a rollercoaster with many ups and downs. If something does not work for me today, I just shift to whatever works for me better instead. Everything goes in cycles and every bussiness encounter problems from time to time. By sleeping on it, the problem often get solved by itself.

Trick or treat?

Trick or treat? I just love it when children comes to my house on Halloween. Colorful and all dressed up as ghosts, skeletons and witches. And that is the feeling I wish to get from commercials as well. A feeling of uncertain “coziness” that surprises me and makes me want to be apart and share.

But to be honest, I must say that we have seen a lot of improvement overall the last couple of years. It used to be the marketing budget that was the secret to success, and most customers falling for it was being tricked. It was a matter of quantity instead of quality. Then there were a lot of scandals and companies going under. The market suddenly changed more quickly when customers had easier to communicate with each other and also easier to dig for information. New companies with smarter and better solutions became the winners and the old companies had to change. We started to see big companies talking about transparency and loyalty, we started to see more innovation and flexibility.

And now both online and offline we have a much better climate where companies has to care about their reputation and responsibility. This changed the customer behavior even more and today you must have customers trust before you can sell anything. And this is why communication is so important. You must treat everyone with respect, make friends, and realize that everyone has different background and a different view of things.

Are you in for a Trick or treat?

What is your plan? Do you have a short plan and a long plan? Or do you just play along as it goes? My suggestion is both. You need to have some kind of plan or mission with what you do. This is needed for you to keep going even if times get tougher. Then you need something shorter just to get you going and to be able to take action. But it is just as important to play along and see where destiny brings you. My mission is to have fun, love life and to be able to quit my job within 5 years, even though I won´t.  And by building up passive income from multiple sources I am not depending on anything i particullar to really work as planned. I play along and focus on the things that work best for me at the moment. The best part is still that I learn and grow everyday, wich makes me smile and feel happy as a child again :-)

Make money online is a popular thing these days. Even more so when it is not everyone who dares to talk about it. Everyone wants to make money online, many tries, but only a few succeeds. It is like forbidden fruit that lies there tempting. Most rotten but some golden. Only the ones who has found the golden fruits dare to talk about it. Except the ones pretending to have found it. Unfortunately most of the rotten fruit is laid out by greedy people.

Charity makes you happy

Charity makes you happy. Or as Aristoteles called it: doing good deeds make you feel “eudaemonia”. You get what you give.

I believe that there is a balance between sharing and receiving. You are only worth what you can provide as I stated before. All this is about the value you provide and the value you are worth to get in return. Providing value can be sharing and teaching others, it can be to inspire and to make people happy. But the most concrete way to share is charity.

A ton of research shows that giving and charity makes you happy. A report from Harvard I read the other day, “Feeling good about giving (and the costs)” clearly shows that all research points to the fact that happy people give, and gets even happier from giving. It relates to both donations, deeds and charity work. But beware that the effect will be reduced if the reason for giving is selfish and to make yourself happy.

My charity contribution goes through “Better Globe”. I donate water and funds to support schools (through Child Africa) and microloans in Africa. In order to compensate for my climate footprint and to support the war against the spreading desert in Africa I also donate trees. Furthermore I also invest in trees. Better Globe is doing a fantastic work in Afrika, and both children and adults now have a much better life in the areas affected.

This makes me proud. And that is what charity is all about for me, to make me feel proud. Why do you think that all the celebrities are engaged in charity? Because they have to? No, because it makes them proud and happy. Charity makes you happy. The have the funds to make a difference and take the opportunity to make something good that benefits themselves just as much.

My long term plan is to be able to go down to Africa and help them for a month every winter.

A blog is the best way to start

A blog is the best way to start working online, and it doesn’t matter if your purpose it to make money, or if it is something completely different. Everything should start with a blog. And the reason for this is:

  • A blog is the best way to start learning, period
  • A blog is the best way to start and the easiest way to take action, baby steps towards your freedom
  • A blog is the best way to start because you are not depending on anyone else but yourself
  • A blog is the best way to start because it is forever growing and will get better and better with time. Both in search engines and in quality since you get better with practice.
  • A blog is the best way to start because it is rewarding. You feel noticed and important when you see that someone sees your blog and comment on your posts.

The best way to learn? Yes, because you have to write and work on your communication skills. You have to start thinking and researching, in order to find subjects to write about. This process makes you curious and eager to learn new things. You learn the best by trying to teach others what you already know.

You are then better off on your own trying to develop your own skills and starting your journey to personal development.

Forever growing? Yes, a blog is growing all the time you add something and all the time someone sees it or comment on it. And you will get amazed how easy it becomes to write after a while. Furthermore, you will start to love It as it almost feels like a need to express yourself and get your thoughts out there into the online world. The search engines will love it more when it gets regularly updated and as with women and wine, it only gets better as the years pass by.

You immediately start to feel important and part of something greater. The successes are easy to celebrate and gives you energy to continue. The best ways to make money online is to focus on your goals and diversify your work and investments in five different areas, guided by an experienced mentor. Earlier this week I wrote a post about “diversify focus to ensure results“. Then it was all about your personal development. Today I will talk about your work online, and more specifically how to make money online. Whatever your purpose and goals are, making money is always the key to it all.

The first thing you really need to focus on when figuring out the best ways to make money online are your goals. You will need both long and short-term goals:

  • What is the true purpose of my work online?
  • Where will I be in five years?
  • What baby steps do I take today to get there?

In your personal development you need to diversify by working on different aspects of your life. When it comes down to working online, you need to diversify sources of income as well as work.

You will need longterm investments and you will need short-term investments. You will need some investment only to be able to acquire passive income. You will also need to invest time and effort into something that requires you to stretch, grow and learn. And you will need something that brings you true happiness, regardless of income.  Most importantly, all of these must be wide-spread not to depend on one “golden egg”. The same principle as in personal development. You can’t lay all of your focus in one area. What if it goes wrong?

It must be stated here that many income opportunities online are very risky and might be closed down for any number of reasons. By experience and many disappointments you eventually learn what works and what doesn’t. It is a learning experience as everything else. And this is another reason to why diversification is even more important when choosing the best ways to make money online. Following are my experienced recommendations to diversify your online activities:

  1. Blog: An absolute must to start with. Great way to start taking action and learning the skills you need. A long-term never-ending business opportunity. Example: WordPress.com or WordPress.org
  2. Charity investment: Even if you invest in your happiness and other people’s quality of life. There is a way to combine it with long-term investments that will give you nice pension bonuses. Example: Better Globe
  3. Net revenue sharing. The easiest, safest and most lucrative way to build a steady constantly growing passive income. Example: Traffic Monsoon and MyPayingAds
  4. MLM, multi level marketing. Not a success for everyone, and hard to find sustainable companies. But a must to learn more about yourself and how people really function. Has to be combined with a product that increases in value to ensure income even without successful recruiting. Example: OneCoin
  5. Financial Investments. Investments with structured leverage products. Uniquely enables the possibility to earn high returns with a relatively small investment. Example: Icon Sachs

There are many other areas online where you can learn and earn a good income. But only the above has worked for me, and I have tried everything that came in my way. I started out with trading, but learned the hard way that feelings and emotions work against you. What business can work without feelings and emotions? I then tried systems and signals to trade binary options and to bet on sports and horseracing. Impossible to find a steady program where you can rely on the system, or without working day and night.

Next up was pure MLM, multi level marketing, where most programs were to depending on a steady growing base of new members investing. Eventually growing to big to handle even with sufficient new members. Or to big for not being stopped by some external hand like governments, banks, financial police, suing members etc. Also extremely dependent on your capacity to make your recruited members succeed in recruiting new members. For me impossible to cope with the bad conscience of my members loosing their investments.

I also tried network marketing to sell affiliate products. Both in communities like Empower Network and MLSP and through specialized companies like Clickbank and Amazon. A great way to earn a living for many skilled marketers with years of experience, but way to hard for a beginner.

As you can see, the best ways to make money online can be a tough and expensive road to find out yourself. Better to get yourself a mentor that already did the lessons and finally came out on the other side. Happy, experienced and finally making money :-)
