Life is a bitch, and then you die

How nice does that sound? Sorry for being provocative, but I wanna make a point here. If you continue to blame, to get angry, to get upset and to just let your life pass by without really try to make it a good one. Then “Life is a bitch, and then you die” will be you reality. It is so easy to take fast injections of energy, stimuli, and joy just to make you feel better. But what will that do for you in the end? It will only sink you down.

So, longterm is the game to play then. After reading the book “The slight edge” I started to see this and suddenly became aware of the little things you do to make a difference in the end.

The only problem now is where to start? I wanna do it all, but haven´t got the time or possibility to do it. Furthermore, I should not do it all since the risk for overdoing and crashing then becomes huge.

What has happened since last post then? Well exercise is now a habit of working out 2 to 3 times a week + walking daily at almost the double distance compared to past. Sleeping is improved and under constant review. Added sugar has been removed from tea and sour milk,  with the result of at least 10 fewer bits of sugar every day. This was made through my first 30 day challenge “No added sugar”. Constant reading and listening to good motivational and educational books as well as speeches has been enlightening to say the least. And every to do list of things that should be done and that could be done pretty easily gets done right away.

The only problem here is that I constantly  add new things and search for more stuff instead of focusing on the things I should concentrate on. So, from now on I will try to make the above work in excellence and stop adding new stuff. Will need to try getting all my thoughts and ideas down in writing and put the extra energy given on my children.

I love the evenings spent with my kids doing homework and having goodies

Life is a bitch and then youd die

All my different projects will be discussed separately in future posts, with tips on “apps” etc.

And by listening to my new favourite Tony Robbins I have now to set new goals for my life. Ones with more specific outcomes and more why.

Will come back to that in a new post as well I guess. As said before, many things to but so little time.

What I can reveal right now is my latest and greatest app on my Iphone that has been running for a month now showing every step I take. It is a stepcounter in you Iphone that lies in the background and tracks your every move. Inspiring to say the least…

Today I woke up feeling a bit heavy since it´s monday, got this as a first message. Talk about getting strength and starting to feel happiness suddenly.

Life is a bitch and then you die

I can recommend you all to get this app, its cheap and great. Just search for Moves.

Take care out there:

Workout daily and feel the growth

There are a million ways to grow, and workout is indeed one way that works for me…

I have been thinking about working out on a regular basis for years but am finally now doing it since a couple of weeks. The best thing about it is that I can feel progress already. I can now run for 5 kilometers in about 30 minutes, not possible a couple of weeks ago. I can row 2 kilometers in 10 minutes, not possible a couple of weeks ago. I can now do 20 push ups, not possible a couple of weeks ago. etc. etc…

Can you understand how this makes me feel? Proud! I even bough myself a gym card at the local gym for the first time in my life.

And my goal stands as a beacon lightning my way.

“I will be walking on the beach without a t-shirt this summer, feeling proud of myself”

My method is now to do a gym workout 3 times a week (every second day if possible) and do some home exercises (push ups and sit ups with a stick) the days I don’t go to the gym. You can look at the video to see the sit ups that I recommend. The stick is a useful tool to workout with at home.

You can do this too…

Just start on a daily basis doing easy workout at home. Start with a few push ups and a few sit ups every day. You will soon be able to increase it. Then start taking walks or light jogging. You will soon feel the progress and urge for more.

Remember that if you want to build a new habit, you will have to do it for at least 21 consecutive days.

If you want more inspiration on daily task you can read my post “The slight edge by Jeff Olson”

Take care and grow

Think and Grow Rich for free

What a day, what a day.  Had visitors from abroad so the evening became night and all morning disappeared…

But I have good news for you, because I found great resources to get you going for free. Remember my last post “lets make this year even better than the last one” where I urged you to start reading good books and to start listening to audios. I there recommended you to read  a classic book by Napoleon Hill called “Think and grow rich”. A book written 75 years ago based on research and interviews with over 500 self made millionaires. The purpose of this book is to explain the secret formula to make you rich.

Think and Grow Rich for free

Through one of my networks I got these links and recommendation where you can read and listen to the classic book for free on any device:

To read it use this link: https://archive.org/details/Think_and_Grow_Rich

To listen to it use this link: https://archive.org/details/ThinkAndGrowRich_21stCenturyEdition

If you have an Iphone you can open it in safari and bookmark it on your homescreen to make it work/look as an app

Personally I can strongly recommend this book and I am right now reading and listening to it. The reason for reading and listening to it at the same time is to get the best out of it because you notice and remember things differently, as well as get a better understanding from going over it twice…

The version I am reading is actually not from the above link since I read it from my Iphone, and then its easier to have it in your Ibooks. Besides that, the version I am reading is with added comments specified for consultants and knowledge workers. I find it very useful and you can find it in appstore called: Think and Grow Rich: The Consultant and Knowledge Workers Edition. This version is also free.

When you read this book, think of it as a way to start your journey. Forget all your past and try to open your mind to it. Do not just think of it as a way to get rich in fortune, but also as a way to get rich in other aspects of life. You can apply this just as good regarding your health or anything you really desire and set your mind to.

Good luck and happy reading/listening

The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson

Last week a dear friend of mine gave me a tip on a great book she was currently reading. She encouraged me to read the Slight Edge by Jeff Olson, because it might change it all…

It did not take long before I started to read, and boy did I get stuck or what! The best reading I had encountered this year by far.

The Slight Edge is all about how to approach you own life. We are actually living it, so why not make it good? By daily doing the easy little things that makes you move forward in life you can accomplish great things in the long run. For example, read 10 pages of a “good” book every day and you will have the knowledge from 10 “good” books in just a year. Start making 10 push-ups every day, and then increase a little every week. How many pushups do you think can be made then in a year? And how do you think that will affect your body? Imagine that you just add some sit ups and stretching as well, and when feeling stronger maybe add some regular outdoor exercise. What would happen to your body then? The possibilities are endless.

There is a lot of discussions about doing what 95% of all people would not do, because there are only 5% that succeeds in fulfilling their goals and live a successful life. Most people quit, because they want to see the results instantly. But the trick is to endure and be patient enough to understand and see the long term goal and benefits.

The Slight Edge was actually perfect for me because it wraps up everything I have been doing this year and gives me the strenght and courage to continue. Last year  in december I decided to quit gaming and gambling, as well as nicotine. To start doing some good with life again, to start moving forward again. For over 10 years everything had been about the kids and about work. It had been so easy just to flee reality with games or tv…

So last year I decided to start over and began by searching the internet for information about trading and making money online. It turned out that I was not the only one. Everyone seemed to be on the same hunt and everyone seemed to be fooled in one way or another. All kind of trading was tried out, but emotions made it too hard. A better way to begin seemed to be by joining Empower Network, which I did. There I found a lot of good educations and there I started blogging. Unfortunately everything was about sales, and that was  both a disappointment as well as “not for me”.

So far I have only found two good things, but the Tube Cash Code is also about sales and that seems to be against my philosophy so there is only Better Living left. But if I can keep up the good work and continue to explore and learn I might find more. If I could only find one good thing every year, then my retirement would become a dream.

Join me in my struggle and share your visions. What are you aiming at and what works for you? Do you have any suggestions for me?

Next thing I am wondering about is if there is any possibility of getting a robot working for you in trading forex or stocks? Is there anyone out there actually working. Is “Fap Turbo 2”  working? How do I manage my virtual server?

Hmm, there are a lot of questions to get answers on and this is what I will dedicate next year to. By taking babysteps everyday and learn it all piece by piece.

Please make comments and join me here or at Facebook, Google+ etc.

Take care and carry on,

/Peter

Is anger your worst enemy?

Is anger your worst enemy?

Both I would say. Anger can actuallly be good for you, but it can also be really bad.

So how should you relate to your anger then? Well, first things first and by that I mean that you have to start with controlling your outrages, those are not good for anyting.

My suggestion here is to use the old saying: “Count to 10 and breath deeply”. Works every time and prevents you from having to deal with both bad conscience and consequenses.

Next step is trying to see the big picture. Often when you feel angry the reason behind it can be backtraced to yourself where frustration or bad conscience are the real reasons. In these cases you can make lessons learned and avoid future misbehaviors.

When the reason for your anger is out of your control you must try to step back and try to get more information so that you can understand the reasons.

Others try to supress their feelings by positive thougts and that might work for them, but you must remeber that anger is a natural thing and comes from our survival instincts.

Most importantly is that you learn to let go of your anger becauce being angry for a longer period of time is not good for you, period.

Take care and use your anger wisely

Framing expectations

20131114-075859.jpg

Framing expectations

What is effecting you most, framing or expectation.

Is there really a difference between framing and expectation?

Or should you just use framing to create the right expectations.

Today I had a strange day where my expectations were so low that it would even be hard to match. The reason was that I yesterday evening wasted three valuable hours of my sleep just browsing the Internet and loosing in binary trading trying something knew. My low is when I get too little sleep.

Not even the wonderful ride to work on my bicycle did much to help getting this day on the right track. When you expect things to go bad it does, when you expect it to go well it does.

It is the same when you are about to experience something new. The expectations you have built up determines the value and what you get out of it. Too high expectations will just make you feel dissatisfied and too low will make you miss the good parts.

What if you could frame your expectations perfectly?

This is exactly what we need to achieve in order to persuade someone into buying your products. But if you only have products that you yourself love and use, you don’t need to persuade, just need to explain the incredible value of the products. And the real value is what it can do for you, what it can make you achieve. What it can make you become. Perhaps a better person helping others reach their goals and dreams. An example of how good life can be…

The question is just how you manage to explain this. When you explain this to your wife/husband or friend, do they understand what you are doing? Probably not, unfortunately. And this is just because they do not have your expectations and surely some old preconceptions.

What if you could frame it so that they could listen without putting values to everything you say.

Well, to be honest. That takes a lot of practice. Luckily for us, it can be found on the internet in nice little video presentations.

So, to summarize. You won’t need to persuade, but you need to be able to frame the presentation of your message in order to make it come through without disturbing circumstances.

We are not selling products here, we are making dreams come through.

Take care,
/Peter

Useful little phrases

Useful little phrases

Useful golden phrases

Communication is important, but it takes skill to master. Today I am going to let you cheat a little by giving you some phrases that can help you in many everyday situations.

For instance, when you really want something or want
someone to respond in a positive way, try this:
“Would it be ok if…”

Sometimes you just don’t know what to say, or how to respond. For me, this becomes a fact when I get angry or frustrated. So, If someone makes you a stupid comment or blames you for something, you need to have some easy phrases to buy time and to easy down. Here are some examples:
“That’s Interesting, tell me more?”
“That’s Interesting, why would you say something like that?”
“That’s Interesting, why would you do that?”
“That’s Interesting, why would you ask me that?”

By using these simple questions you toss the dice back at them, which often get them out of balance, and at the same time get you a moment to think and to cool down.

Another situation can be when you ask someone a question and they start ramble about something completely different. Instead of just saying “ Can you get to the point!” you can easily get them back on track by just saying:
“So, you’re telling me…”

And finish the sentence by repeating the last phrase they said, which will wake them up and get them start thinking about what you really asked them from the beginning.

Last tip here is when you are trying to make a point or want something and the other person just throw some negative comment back at you. The just use one of these phrases and repeat the first message you said again:
“That may be, but…”
“I understand, however…”
“I see your point, and… “

This will make your message really clear and they will soon be out of comments if you repeat it up to three times.

Good luck,

Take care, and practice

Quality time

My family went to London and I am all alone for 5 days. Will it get lonely, or will it be a pleasure? So far I can say neither, but we will see if that changes when I get into day four or five. Spent yesterday working, both at my job and at home. Then got a couple of hours to relax in front of the computer :-). Today has unfortunately been dedicated to work as well. Built some shelves, cleaned all windows, fixed some cordes and is now doing laundry.

Sounds a bit boring right! But not necessarily because it had to be done, and I finally found time to do it. And to finally get it done is a relief. A huge burden has lifted from my shoulders and it feels great.

Now I have almost all evening to do things that I want to do, and that is rare. My quality time. And I can enjoy it even more now when my conciense is clean.

It is important to find quality time, so that you can really focus on things that you need to do. And you have time to take action, to do something new that your have never done before.

Normally when you have a family with kids and a fultime job you don’t get any quality time on your own. And I have actually missed it. Earlier I used to sit up late in the evenings and play games, which actually passed good for quality time. Only problem there was that both family relations and job got affected. Not ok.

My dream is to have quality time every day. My 5-year plan is all about it. To be able to work from home as much as I like, and to be able to take vacations when I like.

Take care, and go find some quality time of your ownQuality time

Your body is amazing!

Just think about all the things we can train our body to accomplish. Or the most natural thing in the world, to be able to give birth and then just go back to become your normal size again ( or almost in some cases :-) ).  Your body is just like a rubberband that has to be streched in order to grow or transform. Whenever you let go, it just goes back to normal again. That’s what happens when you give up, everything goes back to normal again. But if you got a glimpse of that shiny “other you”, it just aint that fun being back to normal again.

That’s what differentiate leaders from normal people, they never quit and they are always hungry for more. They are always hungry for more, thats where we have it. Because if you satisfye for less, you will get less. And if you don´t reach out to new grounds your own lawn will become your prison.

For us normal people our most common leash is our own “comfort zone”. It is so nice and easy to just glide through life living in your comfort zone and never have to take any risks. But what will you miss and what will your kids miss? What is your true potential?

As our most famous Swedish artist right now, Avicii, says: “Wake me up when it´s all over. When I am older and wiser, all this time I was finding myself and I didn´t know I was lost”

The same goes for everything, our body adapts to whatever you put it up with. Be lazy for a while and your body will relax and make you feel tired. But if you give it a challenge, it will get prepared for your next challenge.

As it was for me today, felt a bit moody (probably because of bad conscience for a stupid comment to my wife yesterday and for an unsuccesful trade). Just wanted to sit on the sofa all evening staring at the TV. But instead I  treated myself with a beer at dinner. After that I started to do all the things I should do. With every little thing that got done I suddenly felt a bit better, and by now I feel great again. Managed to fix the lawn, do some laundry, dishes, waste separation etc. And now blogging…

So, to summerize: Take action, stretch yourself and feel great doing it.  Your body is amazing!

Makes me wonder where I would have been if I took action ten years ago and now had that experience to “rest” upon. But it is never to late, there will hopefully be another 10 years from now to look forward to.

Join me in my adventure, the more the merrier…

Take care and take action

/Peter
