Be proud, and walk with lions!
This is my feeling now, and what you should aim for. Let the wind wash your face, and the sun make you golden.
Be proud of yourself. You are special and no one can appreciate you more than yourself. It always comes down to what you feel deep inside. Make sure you find the good reasons to believe in yourself. This can actually be more important than you think. If you feel proud your self-esteem gets high and your life gets better in every way.
It is easy to be proud of something your wife, friends or kids do, but it is so much harder to be proud of who you are and what you do.
Here is my easy pride, and what makes me the most proud. My 13-year old daughter singing Hello, by Adele (sorry for the bad recording):
There are actually two sides that needs to be worked on to feel proud. The first area is the thought pattern that often gets in our way with negative thoughts. The other is how we act and behave. But as always, what´s most important is that you do take action…
How to work on your thoughts:
Keyword here is gratitude and acceptance. Be grateful for what you have and accept who you are. You cannot go around comparing yourself with everyone else who seem better than you. First of all, you have no idea of how they feel. Second, everyone has their good sides and their bad sides. Better to accept who you are and what you have. If you think about it for a while, you will start to see that you have a lot to be thankful for. And you will also see that you too have good sides, abilities and skills that you normally just take for granted.
The best practice to learn gratitude is to write 3 things that you are grateful for every day. If you do that for 90 days without repeating anything, you will see a transformation. Maybe I should do that here on my site? Just to prove my case…
Then we have the next side that matters just as much. To become proud of who you are, the phase where you build your confidence, self-esteem and pride.
To make yourself a lion, you have to act like a lion. Remind yourself of the good things you have done in the past and make them closer and closer to today. Good things can be small or big, as learning something new or helping someone out. It can also be accomplishments like finishing a book, a course or winning a competition. Then with some practice you can think back of today and tap yourself on the shoulder for the good things you did. Soon you will start to chase good things to do, just to be able to tap yourself

Another good way to start is to change your appearance for the better.
- First of all, sleep well, eat healthy and exercise regularly. Can not told to many times.
- Then plan your day and your outfit for tomorrow, so that come prepared and look good.
- Make sure you take time to start your day properly with enough time to eat, get fresh and get your mood up.
- Then it´s time to rise yourself up. Walk like a lion, stretch. Go straight up and walk tall with a happy face. If others see you walk tall, smiling with a friendly face they will see you as fortunate and treat you as such.
And do remember that pride is also connected to how you treat others. If you treat others the best way you can, it will make you proud. Everything you do and deserves comes back to you. Be of service, be helpful.
